With Melbourne’s annual International Comedy Festival on the way veteran sponsor, Nova 100, is gearing up to bring the comedy direct to its listeners.
 
Throughout the festival Nova 100 will feature daily interviews with comedians, ticket giveaways and will provide rolling coverage of the festival on-line.
 

Daisy and Hodgey return to Nova 100

Dale Thomas and Luke Hodge are re-joining Nova 100’s Meshel and Tommy for the 2014 AFL Premiership season beginning this Friday 14 March. 
 
Following a huge year in football in 2013, which saw Luke Hodge lead Hawthorn to a premiership win and Daisy sign a four year deal to play with Carlton, the boys will return to Nova 100’s breakfast studio to discuss all things AFL in 2014.

Last week we compared Sydney’s KiiS, NOVA and 2Day’s breakfast programs for advertising, song and entertainment content.
 
This time, with the help of our marquee sponsor, AirCheck™ we’ve analysed five Melbourne FM music stations, Triple M, FOX, GOLD, MIX and NOVA.

Once again, we’ve taken a snapshot of last Friday’s breakfast shows between 7 and 9 am.
 And once again, Nova was the music champ with six songs in each hour between 7 – 8 and 7 -9. Mix played five per hour.

An inventive first week for Meshel and Tommy

Nova 100’s new breakfast show, Meshel and Tommy, have had some fun first weeks on air culminating this morning with Tommy seeing his 'brilliant' idea of creating FED, a bread filled with delicious ingredients that is ready to throw straight into the toaster, come to life.
 
It's no secret to listeners that Tommy loves unique inventions although they are not always original or successful, like a pair of shoes that zipped off into thongs and attempting to cook a chicken in the dishwasher.
 

Nova 100’s Program Lineup for 2014

Nova 100 will kick off the year with Meshel & Tommy in breakfast and Kate Ritchie joining Nova’s national drive show Kate, Tim & Marty from Monday 13 January.

Nova 100’s new Melbourne breakfast team Meshel & Tommy will be heard weekdays from 6am to 9am. After an early start on-air in December, Meshel Laurie, Nova’s former national drive show announcer and Brisbane breakfast radio host, will partner with one of Australia’s hottest comedians, Tommy Little, to wake up Melbourne listeners in 2014.
