Research shows mounting enthusiasm for attendees to return to the NABShow this year

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has released research that demonstrates growing confidence and positivity among NAB Show participants about a return to in-person events.
Results from a survey conducted by Freeman Event Research as part of a trade show industry research project, which included NAB Show in Las Vegas, indicate a majority of past NAB Show attendees expect to attend in-person events in late 2021.

NAB Show’s new digital experience, NAB Show Express, will take place May 13 - 14, 2020.
With this year’s NAB Show cancelled, participants will be able to take in live, scheduled and on-demand videos covering everything from tech to distribution to content creation.

NAB show will not be rescheduled this year

NAB President and CEO, Gordon Smith, has issued a letter to the NAB Show community providing an update about plans for NAB Show activities in 2020.

In the letter, Smith announced that rather than rescheduling NAB Show for later this year, NAB would be unveiling a new digital offering called NAB Show Express, and enhancing NAB Show New York later this year.

NABShow 2020 is cancelled due to coronavirus threat

As the growing threat of COVID-19 continues to cross international borders, the NAB has made the decision to cancel NABShow 2020.

In a letter to attendees and the broadcast industry, CEO and President, Gordon Smith, says the NAB will look for an alternative to " ...provide a productive setting where the industry can engage with the latest technology, hear from industry thought leaders and make the game-changing connections that drive our industry forward."

Xperi and LG will deliver the DTS connected radio by 2020 #NABShow

Xperi Corporation and LG Electronics have developed and will integrate DTS Connected Radio technology into automobiles sold around the world, with the first vehicle arriving at dealerships in 2020.
The partnership is with a major global car brand, to be announced at a later date.
Xperi will deliver to LG the DTS Connected Radio platform, which enables an engaging in-car radio experience combining over-the-air radio with IP delivered content.
