Music research goes online

Pinnacle Media Worldwide has unveiled their Online Digital Music Test (OMT), which utilizes the company’s “Dial” technology on a second-by-second-basis to collect the emotional responses from music test participants.

Pinnacle Pres./CEO Bob Lawrence explains. “The OMT stays true to our brand and enables programmers to test their product using the same technology they have come to know and love!. Now, a respondent only needs a dial-up connection to participate from the comfort of their home or office. Our new technology enables participants to complete the music test when it’s most convenient for them, while still yielding the same accurate results our clients expect.”

VP/Internet Services and OMT Lead Developer Mark Carlson added: “For the first time, geographic concerns, specific test dates, or even gas prices have no impact on the quality of your sample. The OMT gives you a true representation of the entire market. Each qualified participant is screened in the same manner, but rather than coming to a research facility or hotel, they receive a CD-ROM encoded with all your hooks and test material. During the survey, all results are continuously monitored, validated, and uploaded to our secure server. The OMT takes Online Research to a whole new level.”

Pinnacle Media also offers the Digital Music Test for auditorium style testing, as well as OnlineTracker for Online Callout style music research.
