The replacement for Anna Dare, who controversially resigned from 7HOFM breakfast in Hobart, has been revealed.
Maria Foundas announced on the Ace Radio Network’s The Morning Rush today, she’d be stepping in to replace Anna alongside Mick Newell.
Maria currently hosts The Morning Rush with Jon Vertigan.

Hobart Breakfast Announcer Anna Dare has resigned.
Anna, one-half of the breakfast duo alongside Mick Newell on 7HO FM, recently commented as the pair solicited for their Secret Sound segment “…that it sounded like someone stuck in a conveyor belt at a theme park".
The comment was made just days after four people lost their lives on the Dreamworld Rapids Ride on the Gold Coast.

From radio to real estate

He became a household name after appearing on My Kitchen Rules with his Dad Mick, before going on to have a career in radio.

However, Matt Newell has left his media career behind for a job in real estate.

"It was an incredibly hard decision. I loved the fun environment that is a radio station, but I didn't feel like I was getting enough out of the role as a day announcer. I've always had aspirations to work fo myself and moving into real estate is helping me achieve that."

He is now joined by what some may call his better half, Anna Dare.

Mick & Anna will be officially launching at the 7HOFM – A Day on the Beach Kingston, Australia Day 2016, with an outside broadcast.
