Triple M’s Hot Breakfast with Eddie McGuire, Mick Molloy and Luke Darcy have hosted a ceremony that everyone involved will never forget.
 
It all started when Caroline Springs couple Katrina and Liam met in the toilets of the gay nightclub, The Peel – and finished 8 years later with Mick Malloy’s Shotgun Wedding overlooking St Lukes Church on the famous Austereo balcony.

More than 300 couples entered the competition for the chance to be wed by weather man-come celebrity celebrant, Mike Larkan in the all-expenses paid for wedding which was broadcast live during this morning’s breakfast show!
 
The event included all the elements of a traditional wedding – the cake, photographer and beautiful dress all donated by local companies. The Melbourne skyline was the backdrop for the reception and the wedding band was home grown rockers Spiderbait.
 
Highlights included Derryn Hinch as the ring bearer and Eddie McGuire having a ball on the dance floor with drag queen ‘Paris’ from Collingwood’s much loved gay nightclub, The Peel.
 
The new husband and wife will spend their wedding night in the luxurious loft suite at Crown Metropol,  after dining at No. 8.
