Mark Spurway has been appointed to the position of Head Transmission Network Services at the ABC. He has been carrying out the role some time following the resignation of Dick Winston late last year. Announcing the appointment Colin Knowles said: “Mark brings to the new role a deep understanding of the ABC Transmission network, largely provided under a managed contract with Broadcast Australia, and a sound knowledge of the broadcasting and audience imperatives.”
In another senior appointment in the ABC’s Technology and Distribution area, Marie Wines has been appointed to the position of Head Broadcast Network Services. Marie is currently the Technology Support Mananger of the TEN Network. She will commence in her new role at the ABC on 10 September.
