Just a week after announcing their show had been axed on Macquarie Sports Radio, David Schwarz and Mark Allen are set to return in a fortnight to host the Ox & Marko drive show.

Mark Allen's cancer has returned

Popular Macquarie Sports Radio host and former golfer Mark Allen’s battle with cancer took a tough turn earlier this week when a small 2cm spot found on his lung was found to be a tumour.
 
Mark had been battling stage 4 lung and bowel cancer, forcing him to have surgery that removed 70 per cent of his rectum and 18 per cent of his lungs, but in July he was told he was cancer free.
 

Macquarie Sports Radio axes talkback and reviews all programs

The Daily Telegraph is reporting (subscription required) that Macquarie Sports Radio is pulling the plug.
 
The Telegraph says poor ratings at the stations, which broadcast in Sydney on 954AM, Melbourne’s 1278AM and Brisbane’s 882AM, are being blamed for the closure, with the stations expected to finish broadcasting as early as Friday, leaving dozens out of work.

The NRL has announced a list of nominees for the newly-created Broadcast Media and Print Media categories of their Hall of Fame.

Five Broadcast Media nominees were announced - Frank Hyde, Ray Warren, Rex Mossop, George Lovejoy and Morrow.
