This morning, Olympic swimmer Libby Trickett took on Luke Bradnam and Dobbo in the great Triple M Brisbane Drive Show Swim Off at the Valley Pool.

Luke Bradnam backed himself as a decent swimmer before entering the race… however, he said that the only way he was ever going to beat Olympic Champion and Queensland golden girl, Libby Trickett, is when she’s in her third trimester of pregnancy...

Which she is.

Fiercely competitive Libby gave it her best shot, but Luke was all serious.

Triple M Brisbane's Libby Trickett is pregnant with her second child sharing the news with listeners this afternoon.
 
The multi-Olympic gold medalist and now announcer on Triple M's Drive Show in Brisbane and Gold FM on the Gold Coast revealed after trying for about a year, she and husband Luke will welcome a brother or sister for two-year-old Poppy in early March 2018.  

Libby made the announcement on the Luke Bradnam Show with Libby Trickett & Dobbo.

Radio veteran Luke Bradnam is known for a good laugh, his surfer-boy looks and chasing storms; and who better to pair him up with than a lady who could swim through a storm, collects treasure chests of gold and has a smile to match. Then there Ben Dobbin!

Triple M Brisbane planning "shortened" music shifts

radioinfo reported earlier this week on the departure of Hot Tomato Drive Announcer  and Channel Nine presenter, Luke Bradnam who will join Triple M Brisbane’s on air line up in 2017.

According to Triple M Luke isn't replacing anyone on-air but rather "there will just be shortened music shifts". 

Thunderstorm takes all Gold Coast stations off air

All radio stations on the Gold Coast ceased broadcasting for 1 hour yesterday as a storm tore through the city.

Luke Bradnam from Hot Tomato documented the event at his station on twitter as he took an unexpected break from presenting.
