Liz Cantor and Jason Matthews host Gold FM breakfast over holidays

Channel 7 presenter Liz Cantor and Gold FM’s Rush Hour Host Jason Matthews will take over the microphones on Gold FM’s breakfast show while Richard, Bridge and Spida are on break.

Southern Cross Austereo Gold Coast’s Content Director Andrew Very said,

“Jason Matthews and local girl Liz Cantor are already familiar voices to the Gold FM audience with their regular appearances on the Rush Hour. Their partnership over the Christmas and New Year’s break firms up Gold FM’s commitment to providing local and entertaining content critical for the Tweed and Gold Coast when our population swells during a busy holiday period.”

Liz Cantor is looking forward to her time back on air with the locals,

“I’m so excited to be back with Southern Cross Austereo for the summer. I really enjoy the immediate connection radio provides you with your listeners and the instant feedback! I’m looking forward to singing along to the songs I love on Gold FM and working alongside Jason Matthews. Although he can be a scrooge at times, he provides plenty of deep belly laughs with his quick wit and is a wonderful person to discuss social issues, current affairs and sports with. There’s a lot of love and respect there for him and I think you need that with your co-host, when you’re spending every day together at 5am.”

Gold Coast based Liz presents on Channel 7’s weekend weather, The Great South East, Creek to Coast and the Golden Casket Lotto draw segments.

Jason and Liz are on air from December 22nd to January 16th 2015.
