Laws #1 in Order of Mentions

2UE morning presenter, John Laws, has topped the pack in the annual ‘Sydney Confidential’ Order of Mentions list.

Coming from relative obscurity, Laws has jumped from 31 to 57 mentions in the annual listing in The Daily Telegraph.

The result is hardly surprising, given his high profile this year during the lead up to David Flint’s departure as ABA chief and the fallout over his ‘Queer Eye For The Straight Guy’ comments.

2GB breakfast host, Alan Jones, and morning colleague, Ray Hadley, have lost their joint crown, coming in second (55) and third (52) respectively.

This is a little unexpected, given Jones’ high profile in the Flint controversy and Hadley’s Olympic tirade from Athens.

Nova 969’s Merrick & Rosso have come in fourth on the listing, while Austereo/2Day FM breakfast-cum-drive presenter, Judith Lucy, has debuted in the Order of Mentions list in fifth place with a solid 28.
