KOFM 102.9 launches its Give Me Five For Kids campaign

SCA looks to raise $3m nationally for the charity.

SCA’s annual Give Me Five for Kids fundraiser launches this week, with KOFM 102.9 raising funds for the John Hunter Children’s Hospital.

Now in its 24th year, Give Me Five for Kids has raised more than $22.3 million for the paediatric wards of local hospitals and children’s health-related charities across SCA’s 38 regional markets.

Held each year in June, the fundraiser relies on the involvement and generosity of the Newcastle and Hunter community, and in 2017 KOFM raised $75,623.

A packed calendar of events includes KOFM’s all day live broadcast from the John Hunter Children’s Hospital on June 1, Sportsmen’s Lunch, the Golf Day and Race Day Marquee.

KOFM is asking the local community to get involved and help SCA reach its national goal of $3 million.

“We are incredibly proud of the amazing work our stations and communities have done in raising money over the past 24 years for children’s wards”, says Head of Regional Media Rick Lenarcic.

“Last year we broke the record and raised more money than ever before; with the support of local communities, we hope to make this year’s Give Me Five for Kids our biggest and best yet!”
