K rock (11.5) and bay 93.9 (10.1) have both made significant gains in the latest Xtra Insights survey for Geelong, moving past ABC Radio Melbourne (8.0) that was on top in the last survey for the area, which was conducted in November 2016.
 
K rock's Fresh Daily with Tom & Loggy and Hayden & Milly (bay 93.9) also improved audience numbers in breakfast up 1.0 and 1.8 to move to 9.6 and 9.5 respectively.

On Brisbane's Nova 106.9 this April Fools' Day morning, listeners were told that the station was launching its first “interactive listening experience” through the Nova app.
 
Listeners were told to download the Nova app and at 7.30am they could speak into the microphone on their phone and it will connect directly to the Breakfast team.

The move will allow newsmakers and emergency services across Geelong greater access to the region’s top news service, ensuring that important stories can be delivered quickly and accurately right across the weekend.

Struck by inspiration during an ad for The Bachelorette, Buckle thought “I’m sick of trying to live up to expectations that society pushes upon the male physique in the modern era”.

Tom who is no stranger to stripping down for a radio stunt couldn’t agree more, "We’re not all ripped firemen you know?"

Scaredy Cat Jess, skeptic Jayde and The Departure Lounge's Stampsy took the challenge.

Geelong Gaol opened in 1853 and is one of Australia's most intact 19th century convict prisons.
