Jules Lund is excited about starting his new gig with Emma Freedman this week.
 
“Not having to get up for breakfast hours,” is one of the benefits of the new show, but, eventhough the program is only one hour long, Lund is not going to be taking it easy.
 
Speaking to radioinfo today, Lund says, “we’re doing something innovative here… Scoopla is such an unbelievable online presence, we want to extend on that.”
 

Emma Freedman will join Jules Lund as co-host of the new national nightly Scoopla show, beginning next Monday
 
The new show will be heard weeknights from 6pm on SCA’s Hit Network, covering the world of entertainment and pop culture.
 
Freedman says moving into radio is “really exciting. I guess working with my mate Jules should be OK too! Honestly though, we're both full of energy and can’t wait to get this show on the air"
 

When SCA’s Head of Content, Craig Bruce (CB) booked a call to radioinfo this afternoon, our money was on him announcing that Brisbane’s B105 would be rebranded hit105. “I love how, in this industry, rumours so quickly turn into fact,” says CB. “We’re nowhere near talking about a rebrand of Brisbane yet.”

Not that he would reveal anything before he was ready to, but everything that’s happened at the network over the past few weeks seems to point towards a rebrand in Brisbane and then… Sydney. 

With the strong likelihood that 2Day’s struggling Breakfast show will be replaced next year, Sophie Monk’s management have thrown in the towel.

2Day FM Breakfast host and anti-bullying advocate Jules Lund united with celebrities Ricky Martin, Lily Allen, Shane Warne and Samantha Jade to spread the #ZeroTrollerance message in a special show on the Today Network last night.
 

 
Having dubbed the station 2Gay FM in honour of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade, 2Day FM sent two of their finest into the fray.
 
To cover the event, Sophie Monk and Jules Lund were heavily disguised, Sophie shimmered from head to toe as the queen mermaid on the under the sea themed ‘Hot Kandi’ float led by Trishy Dishy, while her breakfast co-host Jules Lund was surprised on the night with the revelation that he would be joining the ‘Harbour City Bears’ float - wearing a super hero outfit!
