Press Pause: A check in on mental health

On Tuesday 29 September, from 7-10pm, The Hit Network will broadcast a special three hour show Press Pause to raise awareness for mental health, and check-in with the youth of Australia.

Mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression, to peer and social media bullying are having a serious impact on young Australians. Press Pause will give a voice to the topics, and focus on prevention and awareness in a national radio show.

Emma Freedman of the The Hit Network’s Scoopla show took out the 2015 mirrorball trophy on Channel Seven’s Dancing with The Stars and last night Freedman’s dancing partner Aric, second place winner Matt Mitcham as well as her dad Lee Freedman joined the show.

The show celebrated Freedman’s win as her dancing partner Aric, told her she could actually come back as one of the dancing pro’s to dance with a celeb in future series.

In a game-show format panel discussion today at the Mumbrella360 conference, radio and tv presenters Paul Murray and Jules Lund joined advertising and marketing trend watchers to discuss Artificial Intelligence.
The light hearted session raised some serious points for broadcasters and advertisers about how audiences, and advertisers will use A-I in the near future.

The Scoopla Show scores Oscars access

The Oscars are one of the biggest nights in the Today Network’s Scoopla Show calendar with many of the world’s biggest celebrities gathered in one place. 

Being broadcast between 6pm-7pm, the show was in the perfect time slot to receive a debrief of the night and to get interviews from Oscar winners themselves.

Jules and Emma crossed to Andrew Bucklow who had the chance to ask Eddie Redmayne a question about Neighbours after he picked up the Oscar for Best Actor.

Uberkittens is an uber-cute new trend hitting Australia.

Alternative taxi service Uber will pick up and deliver a kitten to your office for 15 minutes of cuddles, if you donate $40 to an animal shelter charity.

Road testing the sevice, Uber brought some kittens to Southern Cross Austereo today and Emma Freedman had a play, much to the delight of the other cat lover in the Scoopla team, Jules.
