Most readers will remember Jason Morrison from his years as a presenter on 2GB and 2UE.

Since 2015, he's been 7News Director, Sydney. Like many Australians he and his young family was taking a well earned Christmas break when they found themselves surrounded by bushfires.

NOW FM’s Greg Henry, has notched up 25 years in radio, beginning as a part of the AFTRS’s radio class of 1994 before getting his first job as Production Manager at 3TR, Traralgon in the first week of November that year.
 
Since then he has worked across the country at 5MMM Adelaide, 4MK/HOT FM Mackay, 2GGG Gunnedah and 2NM/Power FM Muswellbrook.

Talk radio broadcaster and Gina Rinehart spin doctor Jason Morrison is waiting to hear if he will be selected by the Liberal Party to contest the NSW state seat of Ku-ring-gai.

The safe Liberal seat became vacant with the resignation of former NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell.

A pre-selection process is under way today.

Morrison is not a shoe-in for the seat, with the frontrunner thought to be corporate executive Carolyn Cameron, the Liberal’s conference president.

Keysar Trad to pay 2GB $290K in defamation costs

Muslim community spokesperson Keysar Trad will have to pay $290,000 in court costs to 2GB after losing his long running defamation case.

After the Cronulla riots in 2005, Trad attended a rally and spoke to the crowd about the "shame of tabloid journalism." Urged on by Trad, the crowd booed and harassed a 2GB news reporter, who was covering the rally.

Last week a listener called in to Perth's 6PR to say that former 2UE Breakfast presenter Jason Morrison, was working for Australia’s richest woman, mining magnate, Gina Rinehart as a media advisor. Also he’d been approached to be Tony Abbott's head of communications, but turned down the job.

As many people would tell you, it no doubt helps that Jason Morrison’s bother is the former Immigration and newly appointed Minister for Social Services, Scott Morrison.

Jason Morrison has a lot to think about at the moment.

Morrison has confirmed to radioinfo that he has been approached to contest a seat in the NSW State parliament, as reported yesterday.

“I have actually been approached by some very senior people in the NSW Parliament to consider putting myself forward," Morrison told radioinfo.
