Dead Set Legends to continue on Triple M

Amid a cloud of controversy, the legend is set to continue with Triple M Sydney today confirming that the Dead Set Legends (DSL) will become a daily show Monday to Friday, 6 -7pm, allowing lovers of DSL more chances to hear the show.

Dan Ginnane will continue to host in his distinctive style, with a revolving cast of regular legends and mates of Triple M offering their honest, and often unwanted, opinions throughout the week.

Changes at Southern Cross Austereo

The Hit Network’s night time hosts Angus O’Loughlin and Emma Freedman will finish with The Hit 30 this week to take up new opportunities within Southern Cross Austereo.

Angus will return to Adelaide to join hit107’s breakfast show with Cat & Amos, while Emma will remain in Sydney to join The Grill Team on Triple M.

25 years for Jamie Angel

At a function earlier this week, Triple M Sydney Program Director Jamie Angel celebrated his 25th year at Southern Cross Austereo.

On Facebook, Geoff Field posted; “This afternoon I was honoured to attend a function marking 25 year in radio for Jamie Angel. Long time listeners to 2DayFM will remember him fondly, and I worked as his newsreader in the drive shift from 2001 to 2003 - he is now content director at our sister station Triple M downstairs. It's a pleasure knowing you Jamie Angel, and here's to another 25 years”.

Triple M NRL Dead Set Legends take a win just days before the NRL Grand Final

As this weekend's NRL Grand Final approaches Triple M has become the “hip replacement” for NRL radio listeners according to the latest Gfk radio ratings, beating its AM counterparts for all footy fans under 55 years.

Triple M’s call team is home to current and former legends of the game including Sterlo, Matty and Joey Johns, Ryan Girdler, Gorden Tallis, MG, Wendell Sailor, Blues skipper Paul Gallen and Bill “Hollywood” Harrigan.
