The ABC has been moving ahead with its redundancy process, with the final change proposals sent to staff on 21 July. 

With the expressions of interest in redundancy process now complete, and positions identified for redundancy, the national broadcaster is currently consulting on the proposals with employees and their representatives.

Applications are now open for ABC Advisory Council Chair

 The ABC is inviting applications for a new member of the ABC Advisory Council to perform the role of Advisory Council Chair.

Apart from chairing the Advisory Council meeting, the chair will also meet with the Chair of the ABC Board, Ita Buttrose and Managing Director David Anderson, to discuss the Councils workplan as well as overseeing the guiding recommendations.

The ABC Chair, Ita Buttrose, has met with PM Scott Morrision to discuss the recent raid on ABC headquaters at Ultimo by the AFP.

No details of the meeting have been released other than a statement by the ABC outlining the meeting that also included ABC Managing Director, David Anderson and the Minister for Communications, Cyber Safety and the Arts, Paul Fletcher.
