Results from the first 2015 All of Industry radio rating survey in Wollongong have been released, with i98 FM the market leader all people 10+ with 25.1%, up from 23.8% in the last survey.
97.3 ABC Illawarra is second on 16.2% and Wave FM is third with a 15.4%
i98 FM also remained number one in breakfast despite a 2% drop to 22.8%.
97.3 ABC also dropped in breakfast, but sits in second place on 17.9%.
Wave FM increased from 14.9 to 15.4%.
The results are released today after the introduction of a new initiative which has enabled a more cost effective audience measurement system for radio broadcasters outside of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast, Canberra and Newcastle markets.
Wave FM, I98 FM and the ABC have all been part of the 2015 radio audience research conducted by Xtra Research which involved more than 1000 respondents, and was conducted between 6 – 23 October 2015.
The last survey in Wollongong under the new methodology was in March 2014 and was conducted by Iris Research. Prior to the new initiative Nielsen conducted a previous survey in Wollongong in 2012.
