HOTFM Townsville puts 362 calls to air in one four hour shift

To celebrate the end of Movember the Nth Qld Cowboys donated one dollar for every listener that got “on air” during the HOTFM breakfast show with Banksy and Steve.

From 5am to 9am the breakfast show had a total of 362 calls. More than a call a minute. People were calling from Ayr to Ingham, Cairns to Innisfail, Bowan to Bushland beach.

Music Director, Adam Pacan tells us, “We had the Mayor of Townsville, Big Wal from Biggest loser, Crocs players, Becks from the Benchies and hilarious calls from…. John Howard, Peter Harvey, Ritchie Benaud, Bob Hawke and Banksy’s mum.

“It was something unheard of in Nth Queensland, A big thanks to Banksy, who somehow put 362 calls to air without a hitch. Friggen amazing!” said Pacan.

“Lost dogs, road closures, traffic updates (due to the massive storms) and our normal content made it one hell of a show. You can’t get any more local than this,” said Pacan.
