Hit96.9 edges out Triple M in Shepparton regional survey

The first survey in Shepparton since June 2016 follows the rebranding of the local commercial stations – Hit96.9 Goulburn Valley and Triple M Goulburn Valley, previously known as STARFM and 95 3SR – in December 2016.

Hit96.9 has taken the top spot (21.6%) despite a drop of 10.6 points, just edging out Triple M on 21.4%, while ABC Shepparton had a 10.9% share, and triple j gained 2.4% for a total of 7.5%. 
 
Located two hours north of Melbourne, the local stations serve a potential audience of 170,000 people in the radio licence area.

Shepparton is one of 46 regions to undertake radio surveys since 2014, when industry body Commercial Radio Australia introduced a new system to enable more regular and cost-effective audience measurement to be undertaken.
