New national radio show for Hit

A new national night time show Ash London LIVE will start on the Hit Network tonight – with Ash London (obviously) the new host.
A big point of difference on this show is the expansion of music offering - week one will feature interviews with Peking Duk, What so Not, Tkay Maidza, Two Door Cinema Club. 

All acts you might not expect to hear on commercial radio. 

Changes at Southern Cross Austereo

The Hit Network’s night time hosts Angus O’Loughlin and Emma Freedman will finish with The Hit 30 this week to take up new opportunities within Southern Cross Austereo.

Angus will return to Adelaide to join hit107’s breakfast show with Cat & Amos, while Emma will remain in Sydney to join The Grill Team on Triple M.

SCA's digital sports coverage has record growth

Southern Cross Austereo's  online sports coverage is up by 168%, year on year, with 134,000 Average Daily Unique Browsers (ADUB) across Triple M's AFL & NRL online coverage, according to Nielsen's* digital ratings for the month of August.
SCA was the #1 radio publisher online with its Unique Audience (UA) of 1,463,000 and 389,745 ADUBs.
For 11 consecutive months The Hit Network's digital platforms have been #1 in the radio business with a UA of 709,000 and stablemate Triple M sits at #2, UA 642,000.

Southern Cross Austereo has confirmed from 15 December 2016 it will deliver a cohesive rebrand of its stable of regional radio stations.

SCA has confirmed the return of drive duo Hamish and Andy in 2017.

"It's completely business as usual for us with Hamish & Andy continuing on in drive in 2017. Absolutely no change," says an SCA spokesperson.

"They were never not going to not continue under their rolling agreement with SCA."

The pair were lured back to a Monday to Friday shift, after a scaling back their radio commitments in 2010, with a reported $4 million dollar salary each.

30 regional LocalWorks stations to rebrand as Triple M

Triple M is to expand next year as thirty of SCA's regional stations currently under the LocalWorks network will be "brought into the Triple M family."

That's according to the company's 2016 Annual Report which radioinfo saw earlier today.

According to the report, the move will "... deliver cohesive impact and greater overall brand value".

New website for SCA's female entertainment brand

The new site will see Scoopla.com expand its editorial offering beyond its celebrity and pop culture origins to include new verticals across Food, Tech and Travel - categories that the entertainment platform's female audience are highly engaged with.
