Mix 106.3 retains its lead in Canberra, gaining 0.7 in the latest GfK Survey in the nations capital.

Jones has an effect on Survey 3 in Canberra

The Jones effect on 2CC has been minimal but positive in the latest GFK Canberra Survey with the station gaining 1.5 overall and 0.5 in breakfast.

Alan Jones replaced Tim Shaw in mid July and the Ray Hadley Morning Show was extended to run from 9am to midday.

Most gains on 2CC have been in the 55+ demographics and the biggest gain during the day was in mornings, up 3.9 to 9.0.

Commercial radio in Canberra goes digital

  The Edge Digital – urban R&BCommercial radio will officially switch on DAB+ digital radio broadcasts in Canberra tomorrow providing digital quality sound and more station choice for listeners in the capital.
All four commercial radio stations, 2CA, 2CC, Mix 106.3 and Hit 104.7 will broadcast in digital, alongside several commercial digital-only stations, with more new stations to launch in coming months.

Cosmopolitan revealed the nominee’s yesterday after, “looking high and low to find the most inspiring, extraordinary and goddamned talented women in this country.”

Hit 104.7 clown prank no laughing matter say police

ACT police have condemned a stunt by hit 104.7 breakfast co-host Ryan Jon, who, dressed as a clown, looked to be assaulted at a house in Belconnen, a Canberra suburb. 

According to the Canberra Times, Jon "pranked" two listeners on Monday night by turning up on their doorstep dressed as a clown, in what he has described as a "rehearsed" and "scripted" prank.

Survey 3 results for Canberra have been released this morning and snap...

Hit 104.7 and Mix 106.3 are equal number one All People 10+ with a 15.9 share.

ABC 666 was third with 14.5%.

Worth noting is 2CC's -2.5% from a 7.6 share to 5.1.

It was tight in Breakfast with Mix 106.3 lifting 2.1% to take number FM commercial with 14%. Hit 104.7 narrowly behind on 13.5%.

Overall the ABC was the big winner in that day part with a 20.6 share.

“Brigitte and I are in serious chats about extending our family, she said she gets jealous when she sees pregnant girls down the street. I’m scared I won’t be a good father," he says.
