Will & Woody to take Heidi’s Cosmo campaign to new heights

After being nominated for Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Female of the Year in the radio category, it was decided that hit92.9’s Heidi needed some help to get ahead of the tough competition, including Sam Frost and Maz Compton.

Following on from  Swap My Car, hit92.9’s Heidi Will & Woody planned their next mission, Swap My Room.
As if winning $20,000 worth of furniture isn’t enough to bring a tear to the winner’s eye, this story in particular has brought a tear to the eye of everyone at hit92.9 with deserving competition winner, Leanne, currently fighting a battle with cancer.

Heidi, Will & Woody put the call out to Perth listeners to see what it would take to get them out of the house during this bitterly cold Perth winter and into their Anti-Hibernation Party next Wednesday 27th July.
For Giorgia, her request seemed like a long shot.
“I think Hamish and Andy should come and they should play me at table tennis because I genuinely think I can win!”  Giorgia said.

Heidi, Will & Woody discuss gun laws with US SWAT trainer

Off the back of the horrific terrorist attacks in Orlando and as American once again debates gun laws, Heidi, Will & Woody spoke to US SWAT trainer, Scott Reitz, who had a different take on the US gun law debate.
Reitz has an impressive resume including ten years training SWAT members as ex-SWAT himself, 30 years as LAPD, is Federal and Superior Court qualified in deadly force and police tactics, has worked with four US presidents and trained US celebrities in self-defence.

Bill Shorten hits two stations in Perth for Breakfast

Opposition leader, Bill Shorten eschewed the traditional commercial AM talk shows for FM breakfast visiting not one but two FM stations on Monday in Perth.

Of course, it’s easier when both stations, hit92.9 and mix94.5, are in the same building. 

At hit92.9 it was Heidi, Will & Woody’s love show with Mr Shorten opening up about what love means to him and the story around how he met his wife.

Former X-Factor contestant and Perth girl, Sydnee Carter dropped in to the studios to record a Getting Giggy With It for hit92.9’s RnB Fridays.

Heidi, Will & Woody spent the last few weeks on air forming the hit92.9 team for the Karma Resorts Rottnest Channel Swim, which took place on Saturday.
Shannon Eckstein, Neil Brooks, Will and Woody were all named as the final team.
From trying to break a world record for the longest distance across water that a pizza can be hand delivered… to no training on Will and Woody’s behalf… and of course, the Rotto Swim title at stake – see how it all played out:

hit92.9’s Heidi, Will and Woody are one step closer to locking in their fourth and final swimmer in this year’s Karma Resorts Rottnest Channel Swim – but, there’s a catch.
After being given Olympic gold medalist, Neil Brook’s phone number – the team called him to ask if he’d participate BUT he said they’d have to run it past his wife first as the family are currently on holiday, in Bali.

The ultimate sabotage

hit92.9 have a team in this year’s Karma Resorts Rottnest Channel Swim and in the lead up, Heidi Will and Woody are planning to sabotage all the other ‘high profile’ teams.
Former Bachelorette star, Richie Strahan thought he was up for a simple race against Will in the pool – but then, things took a cruel turn.

As Richie and Will began their race, Woody stole all of Richie’s training gear including all of his clothes and dumped it in the middle of Perth CBD.

Mums say yes to refugees

On Heidi, Will & Woody this morning the European refugee crisis was discussed after news broke that the Finnish Prime Minister said he would give up his home to house refugees.
The breakfast show put out the question, “If you could, would you house a refugee in your home?”
Kim from Yanchep called the show and told Heidi Will and Woody that she, along with a group of around 350 mothers are running a campaign to find a family and raise money to put them on a plane and bring them to Perth.
