GOLD Central Victoria moves into new premises

GOLD FM 98.3/AM 1071 has unveiled new premises with an official opening party at their new facility, the result of nearly 12 months of research, design and building.

General Manager, Shane Hogan, says, “We wanted a facility in a location that was easier for our many listeners, clients and contributors to be able to access, and Golden Square was ideal.”

It's called The Wake Up Call with Robbo & Lonergan

Mark Robinson and Dan Lonergan team up to give Central Victorians a chance to hear what is really going on in our backyard. They promise to talk to the movers and shakers and deliver a lively mix of news, music and entertainment along with the odd dad joke from Mark.

Bruce Lees announces his retirement

After so many years of hearing the alarm go at silly o'clock, GOLD Central Victoria's breakfast announcer Bruce Lees will be hanging up the headphones on Friday 1st February.
 
Bruce began his career at 3WM in 1981 as an announcer/ technician before moving to Melbourne to take up a role with 3AK in 1986 as an announcer/ technician.

From next Monday, two of Central Victoria’s most experienced media names will join forces to create The WAKE UP CALL with Gregson & Lees, on GOLD FM 98.3 & AM 1071.

From 5.30am each weekday, Walkley-awarded journalist/editor Wayne Gregson and one of the best-known names in regional radio, Bruce Lees will present a lively mix of news, views, music and entertainment on Gold's breakfast show.

Lees has notched 37 years in broadcasting, most of it presenting Bendigo breakfast radio.
