Saturday 18 October, 2014

Social media was on the agenda in various sessions at the National Radio Conference, and the latest stats from GfK show why radio companies are so interested in it.

Survey: Radio listeners have a strong and lasting relationship with a station

Wednesday 30 July, 2014

GfK’s AudienScope insights; a national online survey of radio behaviour, have provided an additional perspective to the Australian radio ratings.

Launched in May 2014, this is the second instalment for this behavioural study which is an ongoing part of the radio audience measurement contract, and a new initiative from GfK.  While the radio ratings provide data on “who” is listening to “what”, AudienScope looks at the reasons “why” by delving deeper into listening behaviour.

Survey 4: Out Soon!

Monday 07 July, 2014

With the release of GfK  Survey 4 at 9.30 this morning there’ll be just four more surveys to go in 2014 before the last one in December.

Stations will be anxious to see what trends are being set at the half way mark and their chances of going into the long Christmas break with strong numbers that will pull in the national ad dollars for next year.

In Sydney, will Jonesy and Amanda consolidate their FM breakfast lead or will Kyle and  Jackie O snatch it back from them?

CRA’s facebook page goes orange for survey 1

Tuesday 11 March, 2014

This survey’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with CRA decorating their facebook page in GfK orange to add colour to the event.

It’s such a jolly idea, we’ve decided to get into the spirit of things, so we changed our facebook banner too.

The real party begins when the survey’s released at 10 o’clock this morning.

Whatever happens this survey, there’s one thing you can count on …

Monday 10 March, 2014

“The results will be in line with expectations.”

Every program/content director worth their salt has this phrase in their arsenal of initial responses to questions about survey results: “It’s in line with our expectations.” Good, bad or indifferent, it’s this phrase that endows the user with infinite wisdom.

It gives the impression that while the results may be in the toilet, everything’s under control. Despite the screams of his nubile assistant and blood pouring out of the saw box the magician assures us, “It’s all part of the act folks.”

Survey of the Century! Official Birth at 10 am tomorrow

Monday 10 March, 2014

Tomorrow, for the first time, the official survey will be released to all media at exactly 10:am, under strict embargo. This is about half an hour later than in previous years.

In another timing change, Perth results will be released simultaneously with the other metro markets instead of a couple of hours later, as had previously been the case.

Join us tomorrow at 10 am for the most anticipated survey of the century – arguably the most anticipated in 67 years.
