“Get Amongst It” with AFTRS Radio students on Show Radio 107.9FM

Radio students at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) are bracing themselves for their first live broadcast, on the official radio station of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

For two weeks the students will broadcast live from the Sydney Royal Easter Show at Sydney Olympic Park. They will keep listeners up-to-date with everything that’s happening, all the while playing the best in country music.

Show Radio has a proud tradition of more than 10 years broadcasting from the Sydney Royal Easter Show and is the first opportunity for potential employers to hear this years Graduate Diploma Radio students on Sydney airwaves.

Director of Radio, Steve Ahern is looking forward to the broadcast:

“This broadcast is a lot of fun, but also lots of pressure on the students. They will learn a lot from the experience, and the listeners will enjoy the country music format they have developed for this years Show Radio.”

So ‘come on down to the Sydney Royal Easter Show, say “G’day” and keep an eye out for anyone in a SHOW RADIO shirt. Show Radio can be found on the first level of the Martin and Angus stand.
