This morning on the Central Coast’s Hit101.3, breakfast announcer Ash Pollard surprised co-host Daniel ‘Gawndy’ Gawned with the exciting news she and long-time partner Pete are expecting.
 
Thinking he was just part of another show game ‘Mystery Box Challenge’, Gawndy was handed gloves, a blindfold and was told to guess what Ash had placed in the box.

But, what listeners weren't expecting was Ash Pollard sharing her own personal breast cancer scare on air.

Ash told listeners "I had a ‘I Touch Myself’ moment a long time ago. I was doing that in the shower and I felt something in my breast. Turns out, it was a tumour.”
