Adelaide community radio station Fresh 92.7 is running a major fundraising drive, Heart Beats 2020, to help replace and upgrade outdated and faulty equipment at the station.

Nova 919’s new breakfast show Ben & Liam will launch in Adelaide on Monday 6 January from 6am to 10am, but listeners got a sneak preview when the pair got into the studios on Saturday morning for a practice run.

Liam said, “ Yeah we did a sneaky show just as a surprise for Nova listeners, realistically it was just for us, we needed a practise run. After two months off you’ve gotta get back to basics. Make sure you remember to turn your mic on, don’t say f@$! you know that type of thing “

Adelaide’s Fresh 92.7 has announced a new board after their AGM and it features several Life Members of the broadcaster that this year is celebrating 21 years on air.
 
The changes are a result of expired terms of former directors and were announced to members last week.
 
Kat Leese who has been an active member of Fresh since 2002 was one of the inaugural Life members has been appointed Chair as well as Jay Antoney who takes up the role of Secretary.

Adelaide community station Fresh 92.7 is in shock after one of its volunteer announcers was killed by a lightning strike in the Northern Territory this week

Antony Van Der Meer was on holidays at Kings Canyon with his wife Jessica and her family when he was struck by lightning about 5pm on New Year’s Day.
