Fox FM cancels it's rooftop Key party because of coronavirus

Fox FM told hundreds of its listeners that instead of gathering for the World Famous Rooftop and Key Party, they should live stream the event.
 
Attendees were contacted last night by SCA, owners of Fox FM and told:
 
“We regret to inform you that we have made the tough decision to cancel tomorrow’s Fox FM Key Party event.

Superstar Lizzo performed live for the Hit Network’s Fox FM last night to 300 lucky and thrilled listeners at Republica St Kilda.
 
Hosted by Ash London, Lizzo performed her hits Cuz I Love You, Juice, Truth Hurts, Good as Hell and Boys.
 
Lizzo shared her sadness at the bushfires devasting Australia right now but her admiration for the people and their generosity and spirit at such a terrible time.
 
Last night’s event also raised money for the Zoo’s Victoria Bushfire Relief Fund.

Dee Dee Dunleavy will host 3AW Afternoons

Melbourne identity Dee Dee Dunleavy will host 3AW Afternoons in 2020.
 
Dee Dee has been a fixture on Melbourne’s radio airwaves for more than 30 years and moves into the slot vacated by Denis Walter, who will present 3AW Nights next year.
 
The queen of Melbourne radio, Dee Dee was part of the groundbreaking Fox FM Morning Crew in the1980s, moved to the breakfast show on Gold FM in 2000, and currently co-hosts The Weekend Break on 3AW.

Daniel Thomas celebrates 20 years in radio

97.3FM’s Daniel Thomas celebrates a Radioversary this week having kicked off his commercial radio journey 20 years ago, on Friday December 10 1999, at Melbourne’s TTFM (Now KIIS 101.1). 
 
Like many others, Daniel says his radio dream began early, and from age 4 he was recording mix-tapes and pretending to be a radio jock on a double cassette boombox with mic.

Nova plays the most music, Triple M has the widest range : AirCheck

Over the last four weeks, Gold 104.3 and Triple M Melbourne had the highest crossover, sharing 29.8% of their playlists according to AirCheck Australia data.
 
During this time Triple M played a wider range of tracks while Tears For Fears’ ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World’ was the most played song on the two stations with 47 spins.

FOX still has the numbers, Kyle & Jackie gain ground: Cumes

FOX FM is still winning the numbers game in a single market with 1,151,000 listeners, despite losing 27,000 during Survey 6.

Nova 100, Gold 104.3 and Nova 96.9 all have seven figure audiences with both KIIS stations and both smoothfm stations in Sydney and Melbourne in the 900’s.

At 2Day FM there was little if any change to the numbers in Breakfast, down just 3,000 while overall the station gained 27,000 to move to 668,000 overall.
