Fairfax Radio Network announces NAB as first sponsor of 2UE Breakfast

NAB has become the first sponsor of Sydney News Talk station 2UE’s new Breakfast program with John Stanley and Garry Linnell.

NAB’s partnership with 2UE Breakfast consists of live program integration, recorded credits throughout the program and partnership promotional pointers across all programs reinforcing the key NAB Business Banking message of  “NAB –  if you’re ready for more, they’re ready for you” and “NAB – more give less take”.

Mindshare Exchange Director on NAB Mandie Gilchrist said: “We believe that 2UE’s new Breakfast presenters, John Stanley and Garry Linnell, will bring a fresh approach to the Sydney radio landscape and appeal to our target audience of influential and informed consumers. It was a natural fit for our brand and early indications are that our sponsorship is starting to have a positive effect.”

Fairfax Radio Network National Sales Director Nick Randall said: “We are thrilled that NAB has provided early support of our new 2UE Breakfast program with this sponsorship. John and Garry are providing radio audiences with a genuine point of difference and a real focus on intelligent Sydney news and views. It’s a great vote of confidence in our strategy for 2UE and the influential audience the station attracts for clients like NAB.

We have built a team of presenters that better reflects our audience and puts them at the heart of everything we do. It is a strong start to the year following our successful inaugural cricket broadcast over the summer period.”

Fairfax Radio Network announced a new line up for 2UE late last year following extensive audience research. The new breakfast team of Stanley and Linnell first went to air in Janurary 2014.
