Erin Molan confirms Hughesy, Ed and Erin for 2023

Erin Molan has confirmed Hughesy, Ed and Erin will remain on the 2Day FM airwaves in 2023, shooting down rumours of replacement.

The news was shared via a post on LinkedIn, saying that the 2Day FM trio signed an extension on their contract a couple of months back.

There was also a cheeky reference to the fact Hughesy, Ed and Erin had almost doubled their listener base over the course of a year, a bite at criticisms.

Completely unprompted 😉 Signed a new radio deal a couple of months back… love these legends,” said Erin.

Love our breakfast show listeners (the number of whom has almost DOUBLED in a year 🙏🙌😘) and feel very grateful to be part of Southern Cross Austereo ❤️ #hughesyedanderin.”

2Day FM’s breakfast slot ratings had a 3.7% share with a 365,000 cume in the most recent survey. A year prior, the same survey showed a 2.9% share and a 207,000 cume for the trio.

Rumours had been circulating in recent time that the likes of Abbie Chatfield, Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little could replace Hughesy, Ed and Erin in the 2Day morning slot.
