Amanda Keller has been nominated for a Gold Logie and Brendan 'Jonesy' Jones is determined to see his WSFM co-host take home the prize.
This week Jonesy launched what he is calling the 'Radio Free Trade Agreement', and has called on industry greats, usually competitors, to put their differences aside and unite as one to support Keller.

“From January 15, 2018, Polly & Grant’s breakfast show will be extending beyond More FM Wellington and Kapiti into four additional regions: Waikato, Rotorua, Whanganui and More FM will broadcast on two frequencies in Dunedin, giving listeners the option to tune in to Si & Gary on 97.4FM or Polly & Grant on 100.6FM.”

MediaWorks Radio remains the most popular radio network in New Zealand according to the latest GfK Total New Zealand Commercial Radio Survey, reaching 2,262,100 listeners every week across its nine radio brands - an increase of 53,200 from November 2016.

Total audience share for New Zealand is singing the same tune with MediaWorks stations laying claim to 51.4*** percent of the listening audience - a strong 14.2 percentage points ahead of its closest competitor.

On air evacuation at ARN Sydney

A fire alarm at ARN Sydney this morning led to the on air evacuation of the KIIS, The Edge 96.One and WSFM studios.

On KIIS 1065, Kyle & Jackie O had to cut short a phone interview with British pop superstar Charlie XCX despite the objection of Sandilands.

“We have to go, they’re being serious.” warned Jackie.

 “You can go, I’m just going to talk to Charli for a bit.” replied Kyle.

Edgy music and pure gold tracks on ARN's new collection albums

ARN and Universal Music Australia have announced plans to release two new compilation albums in October, as part of a new commercial partnership.

The first album, Pure Gold, will be released this Friday October 3, with the second release of music from popular urban station The Edge will be released ther following week, on October 10.

Nikolina Koevska chosen as The Edge's star announcer

ARN's urban music station The Edge 96.ONE’s nation-wide search for fresh on-air talent has found a rising star in Nikolina Koevska.

The announcement was made this morning with Mike E & Emma on 96.ONE. The suspense was palpable as the top two finalists, Nikolina and Yaz, each opened an envelope with their name on it – but only one contained a contract for the on-air gig inside.
