Crocmedia makes a rapid expansion

Crocmedia has acquired broadcast satellite company, Rapid TV with the acquisition spearheading its expansion into live outside broadcast, streaming, satellite and distribution services.
 
This will now complement the existing branded-content and studio services currently delivered by in-house agency, Rainmaker, creating new service offering titled Rainmaker Live, which will deliver live satellite and internet-based vision transfer services in Australia and around the world.
 

3AW and Crocmedia dump former AFL star for joking about sexual assault

3AW is disgusted by comments made by one of its football commentary contributors, Scott Cummings, and published within a personal podcast.

Although the comments were never aired on 3AW, we believe there is no platform appropriate for such remarks.

Sexual assault is never a laughing matter. Jokes about sexual assault are never OK.

Crocmedia adds the Blues, and the Maroons

Crocmedia will expand their Holden State of Origin 2019 broadcast with the introduction of two new parochial calls, Blues Radio and Maroons Radio, tailored for New South Wales and Queensland markets respectively.

Ken Hinkley joins SEN SA

Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley, unbeaten in 2019, has joined 1629 SEN SA, and will be heard weekly on the station alongside Kane Cornes and Andrew Hayes every Tuesday on Breakfast.

Hinkley joins Port Adelaide’s star player and human highlight reel, Robbie Gray, as well as Adelaide Crows Vice Captain Josh Jenkins, as regular guests on the program.

home matches for each team throughout the 2019 Super Rugby season.

Crocmedia secures the radio rights for the ICC World Cup and the tour of India

Crocmedia today announced a new broadcast radio rights partnership for the Australian cricket team’s upcoming tour in India and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales.
 
Crocmedia will have rights to broadcast five One Day International (ODI) matches and two T20 matches from the 2019 Australian tour of India, as well as the 2019 ICC World Cup from England and Wales on 1116 SEN, 1377 SEN+ and DAB+ platforms, plus exclusively for sporting fans in Adelaide on 1629 SEN SA.

AFL Indigenous Broadcasting in need of funding to continue

The partnership between the AFL and AFL Indigenous Broadcasting is in danger of collapsing due to a lack of funding.
 
For more than 20 years the national distribution service has been running via the National Indigenous Radio Service, and only last year announced a landmark 6-year deal to provide a weekly AFL service to all Indigenous and Community licensed radio stations across the nation.
