Crocmedia's latest catch

Tuesday 27 June, 2017

AFL star Patrick ‘Paddy’ Dangerfield will take to the airwaves next week to indulge his greatest passions outside of footy and family – fishing.

The long-time angling enthusiast will host a new weekly, one-hour radio show Reel Adventures, sharing his tips on fishing, boating and the great outdoors.

‘Danger’ will be joined by good mate and professional fishing guide, Aaron ‘Captain Redbeard’ Habgood in the co-hosting role.

Each week, Paddy and Aaron will discuss tips and techniques to help listeners get more out of their fishing and outdoor experience. They’ll highlight fishing hotspots and uncover some hidden gems with the help of local personalities.

Reel Adventures is the latest offering from Crocmedia.

CEO Craig Hutchison said signing Paddy for the show was a real catch.

“Paddy’s a natural not only on the field but also on the water – he’s a long-time fisherman and has travelled the country in search of the best fishing spots. We’re delighted to have him host the show which we expect will engage a new generation of fishing enthusiasts,” Hutchison said.

“Growing up at Moggs Creek, I’ve fished and surfed all my life and it’s something I’ve always loved,” Dangerfield said.

“For me, it’s always been a great escape and a great interest outside of footy so I’m pumped to be hosting the show where I get to chat all things fishing with one of my best mates.”

“Reel Adventures also offers brands an exciting opportunity to connect with fishing enthusiasts in every corner of Australia through the radio show, podcast and social platforms,” Hutchison added.

The show will air on Saturday mornings 6-7am in Melbourne on SEN and on Saturday and Sunday timeslots throughout regional Victoria, NSW and Southern Queensland.

It will also be released as a weekend podcast as well as a separate mid-week Reel Adventures Xtra podcast. Fans can also access exclusive content and blogs from Paddy and Aaron on
