Andrew Denton to give Head Jobs to Cobras

It’s been a while since Andrew Denton had anything to do with radio. He cut his teeth with Doug Mulray’s Breakfast Show in Triple M’s heyday and went on to front his own historic stint on the station in the late 1990s.

Once described as,“the thinking woman’s crumpet” Denton’s been drawn out of retirement (having sold his production company, Zapruders Other Films) to act as keynote speaker at this year’s National Radio Conference in Melbourne on Friday, 17 October.

Nine month extension for Digital trials in Canberra and Darwin

CRA has welcomed the decision by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) to extend the DAB+ digital radio trial licences in Canberra and Darwin until 30 June 2015.

The scientific licences have been extended to provide an opportunity for broadcasters to experiment with new features and functionality on DAB+, as well as continue testing a range of planning techniques and equipment types.
