Primerchord branches out into radio production music #RadioAlive2019

Along with the usual exhibitors, partners and sponsors at CRA’s recent Radio Alive conference, there was a new logo on the partner screen.

Primerchord, a production music company.

We had never seen it before, so we located the founder of the company, composer Amara Primero, and asked her about it.

Originally founded as a company composing film music, Primerchord is now branching out more widely.

The radio industry is converging on Brisbane for this Friday's Radio Alive conference and Saturday night's ACRAs.

It's the big industry event and of course radioinfo will be there to cover it.

Our advance team, Peter and Wendy are already in sunny Brisbane and report that there may be some showers tomorrow for anyone arriving the day before, but that Friday will be sunny. Hot days between 28 - 31 degrees are expected.

Radio stars and Amazon at Radio Alive 2018

The future of voice technology and the implications for consumers and brands will be the subject of a keynote address at Radio Alive 2018.

Amazon Alexa Skill’s Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Kate Burleigh, will deliver the address.

Burleigh joined Amazon in December with the responsibility of launching the Alexa voice assistant service locally and providing new opportunities for brands and developers to design for Alexa and reach customers through voice-first experiences. 

Australian radio industry alive with good ideas #RadioAlive2017

The Australian radio industry is alive with good programming, sales and technology ideas.

Those ideas will be showcased, discussed and debated on Friday in Melbourne at this year's national conference, organised by CRA.

The range of speakers and topics, and the theme itself, shows how much the conference has expended to encompass a whole of industry view. Which is one of the things that has made Australian radio great.  There is strong competition at station and network levels, but there is collaboration on wide industry issues that matter.

Hit Radio Network’s national drive team Hamish Blake and Andy Lee will headline this year’s National Radio Conference in Melbourne.

Appearing for the first time at the annual industry conference, the session moderated by executive producer Sam Cavanagh, will see Hamish and Andy answer questions about their career in radio, talk about their unique approach to content creation, discuss working in a creative team and reveal what it takes to stay at the top of their game.

James Cridland has worked in radio since 1989 in various roles - copywriter, presenter, and internet stategist.  He also launched one of the first radio smart phone apps in 2005.  He now works as a radio futurologist and is discussing the future of radio at the National Radio Conference in a standing room only workshop.
