Chris Adams to receive Braveheart Award

4BC’s Drive announcer, Chris Adams, will be presented today with a ‘Bravehearts’ media award for his contribution towards the protection of children.

During his time on air, Adams has pushed the idea of The Child Protection Alerts, which have gone statewide and, soon, national. The Alerts will help save the lives of many Australian children.

Radio 4BC Program Director, Greg Cary, has told radioinfo: “It’s a significant and much deserved reward for a broadcaster, who has advocated on behalf of children for many years.”

Adams says: “While I am honoured to receive this award, I must recognise the Queensland Police and State Government, who have been supportive of the Alerts. Radio 4BC is proud of being part of the community and I am happy to help the community in any way I can.”
