Government 'takes Community out of Radio' in digital radio funding cut

The CBAA has responded to the Federal Budget saying that it has failed to maintain funding for metropolitan community digital radio services in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, and has "taken the community out of radio."

NEMBC calls for clarity in public statements

The National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters Council (NEMBC) has called for honesty in the dispute over the Community Broadcasting Foundation’s "radical changes" to its funding and governance model.

The call is due to the CBAA's recent statements claiming that broadcasters are united in support of the CBF’s changes.

"This is clearly not the case," says the NEMBC.
