Nick Bennett will tackle journalism on multiple platforms at the CBAA conference

Journalist and writer Nick Bennett will present a virtual workshop on Journalism & media making for a wide range of platforms at this year’s CBAA conference.
 
Nick says he will be looking at how stations connect with their communities across multiple platforms and what it takes to be a multi-disciplined journalist content generator.
 

Stephen Pead will present sponsorship ideas at the CBAA conference

Stephen Pead is back for his 5th CBAA conference with more great ideas on station sponsorship.
 
His session will centre around finding the right sponsor, engaging them with great ideas for their business and retaining them over the long term by delivering great results
 
Stephen’s presentation will include case studies and he says that stations will “…walk away with at least one, if not more ideas that (can be) used the next day.”

The CBAA Conference takes place as a virtual event across a four-day program, running from Wednesday, 28 October to Saturday, 31 October.
 
The conference will concentrate on four key areas for attendees:
  • The Show — For practitioners who want to develop their content production skills
  • The Business — For Station Managers and staff, Chairs and Board Members on the ins and outs of running a station.

CBAA gets funding to support community radio’s transition to multiplatform delivery

The Community Broadcasting Foundation will provide support over the next four years for the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia to assist community radio’s transition to multiplatform delivery.

CBAA launches its program for the 2020 virtual conference

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia has launched the program for its upcoming 2020 CBAA Conference, featuring a host of local and international sector thought leaders across a four-day program, running from Wednesday, 28 October to Saturday, 31 October.
 
Chief Executive Officer Jon Bisset, says, “The Conference will be more accessible to the community radio sector than ever before and it’s our hope that everyone, including Board Members, staff, program makers and other volunteers, will join us online.

CBAA gets funding to extend mental health awareness on community airwaves

Today, on World Suicide Prevention Day and R U OK Day?, Health Minister Greg Hunt has announced the extension of funding for the CBAA’s National Suicide Prevention Project, as part of the Australian Government’s Department of Health’s National Suicide Prevention and Leadership Support Program.
