The count is now in for all 32 CBAA Community Radio Awards. 

The coveted Tony Staley Award went to Highland FM, while Wayne Bynder at Wangki Radio received the Station Leadership Award.

The CBAA has announced a further nine recipients of CBAA Community Radio Awards.
  • Excellence in Training: Radio 4EB
  • Excellence in Ethnic and Multicultural Engagement: City Park Radio
  • Best Radio Program – Music: FBi Radio - Bare Necessities
  • Best Station Production: 2SER - Flatten The Curve
  • Contribution to Australian Music - Radio Program: Live from Studio 3 - Three D Radio        

CBAA Awards for 2020 #CBAAConf

13 of the 32 CBAA Community Radio Award winners were announced this week.

Winners for the remaining award categories, including the Station Leadership Award, Michael Law Award, Tony Staley Award for Excellence in Community Broadcasting, and the Outstanding Small Station Award, will be announced on the CBAA Facebook page.

Multicultural AFL Footy Show wins Best Online Content for 3ZZZ

The NEMBC’s Multicultural AFL Football show won the coveted Best Online Content Award with radio 3ZZZ taking home the prize over the weekend.

At the prestigious CBAA Dinner and Award presentations from the Pullman on the Park in Melbourne, George Salloum 3ZZZ’s President received the award with NEMBC Executive Officer Russell Anderson and Fiv Antoniou NEMBC MEDIA Exec Director (Sports).

CBAA Community Radio Award winners have been announced at a gala dinner at this year's CBAA Conference in Melbourne.

The winners came from over 95 nominations covering a diverse cross section of the Community Broadcasting stations in Australia. 


CBAA Chief Executive Officer, Jon Bisset, says the awards are a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the sector's successes and value.

2018 Community Radio Awards: Full Winners List

The 2018 CBAA Community Radio Awards were presented last night on the Gold Coast at the conclusion of the community broadcasting sector's annual conference.

This year, the CBAA introduced a number of new awards to its annual event, and presented 34 awards across 33 categories. The winners were diverse, and were a representation of the make-up of the sector, with recipients from a large variety of locations, sizes and communities.
