Breeze blowing in Stanthorpe

90.1 Breeze FM starts broadcasting in Stanthorpe tomorrow.

Breeze FM Stanthorpe is the second station in the Breeze Network for the Rebel Radio Network and marks the roll out of Breeze FM stations to other regional and rural centres across Queensland over the next 12 months.

The station is targeted at the 40 plus market and combines a classic hits format with the softer adult contemporary hits of today. Rebel Radio Network’s Network General Manager, Cheryl Jowitt told radioinfo that the expansion of Breeze FM follows the success of Rebel FM across regional and rural Queensland.

“Breeze FM will compliment the existing Rebel FM service in our Stanthorpe coverage area, providing a softer format for the over 40 age group.

“We have had and continue to get fantastic feedback as a result of launching Breeze FM in our South Brisbane, Beaudesert Shire market two years ago, so it was a natural progression to launch the service as a complimentary radio station in all our markets.

“90.1 Breeze FM in Stanthorpe is based on the same successful format of our other Breeze station and features hits from the past four decades.

“It’s all those songs you find yourself singing along to, the songs you grew up with”, said Jowitt.

The Rebel Radio Network currently provides Rebel FM in 21 markets across Queensland and hopes to provide Breeze to each area over the coming 18 months.

The station will officially launch on August 19.
