Over the past few weeks Canberra’s 1053 2CA has been running a ‘soundcheck’ to open 2006 with an improved music mix on the station.

Group PD Ryan Rathbone has told radioinfo “thousands of listeners have telling us what they think of the station.”

Rathbone says 2CA has tried out all kinds of listener suggestions, from playing ‘Double Shots’ all day to a day of the station’s Saturday Night Jukebox music. “We even lost the announcers for a day.”

On Monday morning at 7:30am the station launched ‘the new sound of Canberra’s 1053 2CA,’ with the help of Clinton Schifcofske & Terry Martin from the Canberra Raiders.

The station is now playing “more of the old stuff you love, and the new stuff you like… everything from the Beatles to Ben Lee with all new features.”

Even the website has been revamped, and can be seen at www.2CA.com.au.
