Grants strenghten local content and operational teams

The Group Content Director for Grant Broadcasters, Ryan Rathbone, has announced some key appointments to strengthen the content and operations structure for the company’s Victorian and South Australian Radio stations.
The current Regional Content Director for Victoria, Mark Hyland, will now assume overall responsibility for all 15 Radio stations across Victoria and South Australia as well as maintaining his content leadership position with both K Rock 95.5 and Bay 93.9 in Geelong.

On Brisbane's Nova 106.9 this April Fools' Day morning, listeners were told that the station was launching its first “interactive listening experience” through the Nova app.
Listeners were told to download the Nova app and at 7.30am they could speak into the microphone on their phone and it will connect directly to the Breakfast team.

Radio ratings have been released for Geelong, Victoria’s second largest city. Bay 93.9 and K Rock are the commercial radio stations serving the licence area, which has a population of 440,000.

But it was 774 ABC Melbourne that was the station listened to most All People 10+ following the release of Survey 1.

Bay 93.9 was a close second with 9.6% and K Rock third with 8.9%.

It is the first official survey for Geelong in more than a decade, with research carried out by Xtra Insights during October.
