When they joined ARN, Austereo contended that their old facebook page was part of the property they created while working for Austereo, so, like their on air work, Austereo had the rights to keep it. This is comon legal practice in most employment agreements.

But someone like him may have inspired the composers to write the lyric, “You have the cool clear eyes of a seeker of wisdom and truth”  for the musical’s hit song I Believe in You.

It’s not just on air changes that are happening around the industry.

There has been confirmation today that six off air roles have been made redundant across the ARN Network. The jobs are believed to be in sales. The changes are part of a wider restructure, which is expected to see other jobs created in restructured areas.

As the ACRAs has grown in excitement and prestige, the After Party event which has surfaced in its wake, is emerging as the ultimate definer of who’s hot and who’s not. Or who’s cool and who’s not. No one has yet been able to explain to me how these opposites can mean exactly the same thing. Merely winning an ACRA is no longer enough to catapult you from nerdy intern to radio star. You need to be seen at the right after party.

MIX102.3 Program Director, Ben Latimer, received two pieces of good news today – a survey result increase for his Adelaide ARN station and a promotion.

Latimer has been promoted to Program Director of Sydney’s MIX106.5, beginning late July. He replaces Sam Zniber, who has just accepted a job back in France as Deputy Managing Director and Program General Manager for the two major French Radio Networks FUN RADIO and RTL2.
