ARN stablemates saddle up for racing's biggest day

ARN has signed a two-year partnership deal with the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) that will see KIIS 101.1 and GOLD104.3 play key roles in supporting the 2017 and 2018 Melbourne Cup Carnivals.

This is the first time ARN has officially partnered with the VRC and will have a presence in The Nursery and The Precinct areas as an FM radio media partner.

ARN revenue down in half year results

HT&E Limited formerly APN News & Media has released its results for the six months ending 30 June 2017.

On a statutory basis, revenue for the company that owns ARN rose 75% to $225.7m compared with $129.1m in the prior corresponding period, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 28 per cent to $46.0m, and net profit after tax and before amortisation (NPATA) attributable to shareholders was up 108 per cent to $22.0m.

Radio support helps secure charity milestone

Red Nose Day fundraising efforts on June 30 2017 are expected to surpass 2016 results by close to 10% having raised an anticipated $1.1 million nationally.
Red Nose says the milestone is largely due to support from the Australian public, along with that of Red Nose Day’s major partners this year including radio networks and stations, making a significant impact in helping reduce the deaths of nine children a day to zero.
