ARN makes three inernal promotions

ARN has made three internal promotions as part of changes to the content and commercial teams, to support an ongoing strategy to strengthen its position as Australia’s leading audio company.
 
Corey Layton has been promoted to the newly created role of Head of Digital Audio and will head up ARN’s iHeartRadio and podcasting strategy to further cement its place as a leader in digital audio for both listeners and brands.

2020 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball kicks off the Christmas season for ARN

ARN’s iHeartRadio Australia is kicking off the festive season this Friday with the 2020 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball.
 
The virtual event will take place from 1pm Friday, AEDT, and feature performances by Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi, Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd and more.
 

ARN marks 20 years for Kyle & Jackie O

Media i Awards for radio were announced last night

The 10th Anniversary of the Media i Awards were announced last night in a virtual first for the program due to COVID-19 restrictions.
 
The awards celebrated both individual and team media sales excellence, as voted by industry peers.
 
In a year that has been difficult for media and for media sales teams, this year’s Media I Awards over 4000 media staff took part in this years awards casting over 58,000 votes for over 165 teams and individual finalists.

The data from over 1million+ Australian devices shows a massive jump in listening, up 72% since the start of 2020 (Oct20 v Jan20). October is also a record month for listening across the platform.

According to Beyond Blue, three million Australians live with anxiety or depression, and research shows this issue has only been exacerbated by the tough times brought by COVID-19.
