Death threats for Jones, Hadley and Wilson after soccer hooligan comments

Alan Jones and Ray Hadley, along with newspaper sports journalist Rebecca Wilson, have been targeted with death threats after Wilson revealed the names of banned soccer spectators and Alan Jones followed up on air with comments likening them to terrorists.

Big money raised at fundraiser for Glenn Wheeler

More than 750 people attended 2GB's Glenn Wheeler Fundraiser Lunch on Monday 2 November 2015 at Doltone House Sydney, raising an impressive $100,000.

The event was Wheeler’s first public appearance since his scooter accident in February.

Alan Jones subject of biggest defamation case in QLD history

The Wagner family is suing Alan Jones and 2GB for defamation over Grantham flood claims.
 
At an inquiry this year into the Grantham floods which killed 12 people four years ago, Denis Wagner challenged claims made by Jones and others that his former quarry made the deadly Grantham floods worse, and hit out at the “terribly vindictive” media.

In a much promoted but ultimately short interview segment on Channel 7’s 6pm News, Alan Jones was asked by reporter Lee Jeloscek, “Do you think you could be the next Kyle Sandilands?” 

To that he quipped, I never comment on my opposition but Kyle’s scrambling around out there with seven or eight in the ratings. But he’s a nice fellow and we wish him well.”
