48-year-old Evonne Mitchell survived 5 days and 1500 times listening to Adele’s famous hit, Rolling in the Deep in order to win two gold tickets to see Adele at The Gabba yesterday from Mix 92.7.

Evonne was fed and watered, with appropriate toilet breaks, but was completely isolated for 75 hours, with no phone or distractions.

"She told me she would never come to Australia due to her fear of flying."

In the first week of release Adele’s album 25 sold over 3 million copies in the USA.
In its second week, it also sold a million copies, the first recorded instance of an artist doing so since sales tracking data began in 1991.

Indies hold out for better deal from YouTube music video service

Independent recording artists are holding out against YouTube in a rights payment dispute that may see indies such as Adele and Arctic Monkeys taken off the popular video sharing service.
YouTube, now owned by Google, is planning to launch a music subscription service in competition with streaming music services such as Pandora and Spotify, and is putting licence agreements in place with music publishers in preparation for the launch.
