ACE Radio’s Kate Meade, host of network breakfast show The Morning Rush, was listed in the Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence in 2018 and it was this that inspired ACE Radio to launch its first official podcast, Women of Influence, with Kate at the helm.
 
Season 1 of the podcast launched in July, 2019 and has already gained listeners from all over Australia, with a growing and engaged Facebook community building alongside it.
 

Warrnambool radio's Lois Chislett to retire at years end

Long-serving ACE Radio journalist, Lois Chislett, is set to retire at the end of the year.
 
Lois’ radio career began at 3YB Warrnambool in 1973, having completed her secondary education at St Anne’s College.
 
She started as a junior copywriter, writing scripts for radio commercials and was promoted to Department Head after 3 years in the job.

Xtra Insights gets to a century of surveys

With the results from the latest Warragul and Geelong regional radio audience measurement surveys (RRAMS) released last week, Xtra Insights has celebrated the 100th RRAMS to be released since the methodology was launched in 2014.
 
In that time 47 regional radio markets have been surveyed under the new methodology, with 87,000+ interviews conducted representing over 5.7 million regional Australians aged 10+.
 

Gippsland has a winning pair of ACEs

ACE Radio’s TRFM and Gippsland’s Gold 1242 present a formidable combination according to the latest Xtra Insights survey for Sale in a region that covers a distance of more than 220km from Morwell to Orbost in Gippsland.
 
TRFM is indisputably the top station with 32.4, ahead of ABC Gippsland (18.7) and Gippsland’s Gold 1242 who are up by 4.6 to 18.0 in the first survey in the area since August 2016.

Hit Central Queensland’s new breakfast show Nick & Haydo

Central Queensland’s Hit107.9 will introduce a new breakfast show featuring Nicholas Feain and Hayden Bleechmore beginning Monday June 17.

Nicholas moves from his current breakfast gig on Gippsland’s Hit94.3 and Hayden comes from ACE Radio in Colac, Victoria and was discovered through Southern Cross Austereo’s talent master class program Hubble.

ARN and iHeart extend their partnership until 2036
