ABC Radio Hobart 2019 line-up has a new Drive presenter

The 2019 program year for ABC Radio Hobart sees a fresh voice joining the Drive program, along with local favourites returning to the airwaves. 

Well-known Tasmanian journalist Lucy Breaden is the new voice of Drive between 4pm – 6.30pm on weekdays.
 
Lucy is a journalist, producer and former television news presenter who has worked in local media for more than 10 years and says she is thrilled to make the transition to radio, “I’m a born and bred Tasmanian who loves telling the stories of our beautiful city and its people. I’m looking forward to connecting with communities and listeners across southern Tasmania.”
 
Current Drive presenter Gary Magnussen will return to ABC News in December.
 
ABC Hobarts line-up includes Ryk Goddard in Breakfast, Leon Compton in Mornings, while Sarah Gillman resumes her role as producer for ABC programs.
 
‘Country Hour’ with Tony Briscoe will be back from 12.00pm – 1.00pm, while Helen Shield returns to Hobart’s ‘Your Afternoon’ program from 1.30pm – 4.00pm with a great mix of music, arts and culture.
 
Joel Rheinberger will be behind the Weekends microphone until Chris Wisbey returns in early 2019.
 
‘Conversations’ with Richard Fidler and Sarah Kanowski, ‘Nightlife’ with Philip Clark / Sarah Macdonald and ‘Overnights’ with Trevor Chappell / Rod Quinn will all return in 2019.
