92.7 Appeal Raises Quarter of a Million

92.7 Mix FM’s breakfast announcers Mark & Caroline revealed the Give Me 5 for Kids final tally this morning at the Nambour General Hospital, which was a total of $256,880.

This year marks the 12th anniversary of an appeal that has, to date, raised over $2.5 million for child health services on the Sunshine Coast.

The final tally was revealed at the newly finished Zoo-themed playground built adjacent to the Children’s Ward at Nambour General Hospital. The playground was built thanks to donations and funds raised in the 2011 Mix FM’s GM5FK appeal.

“The Sunshine Coast has flexed it generosity muscles yet again and despite the economic downturn, managed to help raise in excess of $256,880,” Mark said.

With fundraising highlights such as the launch at Australia Zoo, Mooloolaba Bowls Day, Travel Night, On-air Auctions, Kawana Shopping World’s Monster Auction, Bandaid Day, Ladies Luncheon, Art Auction, 25 Live & Jessie’s Party, 92.7 Mix FM has managed to exceed the target of a quarter of a million dollars.

92.7 Mix FM’s Give Me 5 for Kids appeal partners with Wishlist and uses the funds raised throughout June to invest in much needed equipment for the children’s wards and services at local Sunshine Coast hospitals.
