SEA FM is pounding the pavement for kids

91.9 SEA FMs local radio stars BarRat, Heidi, Elly and Becks will walk from Caloundra to Mudjimba, broadcasting live to raise enough money for 1,000 pairs of children’s shoes as part of 91.9 Sea FM’s K’s For Kids.
After decades supporting kids on the Sunny Coast, Inclusive Kids have learned something as simple as a pair of shoes can keep a struggling kid in school and sport programs, off the street and away from drugs, trafficking and other real world dangers.

After spending the last 2 years hosting the number one breakfast show in Shepparton, Elly Chaney is looking forward to experiencing everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer, while working with Luke ‘Becks’ Toohey to bring local drive to the Sunshine Coast on 91.9 SEA FM.

Bar Rat back on air after close call

919 SEA FM's BarRat will be back on Breakfast on the Sunshine Coast with co-host Heidi Latcham next week after he broke his neck cutting a tree down in his backyard.

After the fall from the tree, it then landed on him.

After surgery, weeks of recovery and multiple plates and screws, BarRat is now ready to come back.

“I’m so happy to have my mate back in the studio with me, I have really missed him!” said Heidi.

In meteorology, an inversion is a deviation from the normal change of an atmospheric property with altitude. It almost always refers to a "temperature inversion", i.e. an increase in temperature with height, or to the layer ("inversion layer") within which such an increase occurs.

Apparently, it doesn't happen a lot, but when it does, FM radio is all over the place because of the unusual atmospherics.

Brad is making a welcome return to brekky radio after a stint as a Primary School teacher in Queensland.

Mix FM the big winner in first survey for ten years

Results from the first all-of-industry radio ratings survey on the Sunshine Coast for ten years are in. 

The winner is Mix FM 92.7 with a 19.2% share all people 10+, and 20% share in breakfast.

Sea FM 91.9 followed with a 15.2% share all people 10+, and a 14.4% in breakfast.

Triple J was third with a 10.9% share all people 10+, and a 10.3% breakfast share.

BarRat and Jess' Million Dollar Dig

James Logan from Cooroy isn’t a millionaire but is now $10,000 richer and able to afford a house deposit for his family, after digging up the consolation money bag at BarRat & Jess’s Million Dollar Dig this morning.

James’ lucky number 26 didn’t get him the million bucks but still made him $10K richer as he dug up 1 of the 99 buried bags which contained the consolation cash.

The Million dollars was in grid 61.
